The course is for those with limited experience but a real interest in improving. The course runs in 8 week terms, three times a year. The course is popular but when new students join they are quickly enveloped into the existing group and as the tuition is so individual, experience and natural talent work well alongside those with limited experience. Each "term" is self contained in terms of topics, so you can do all three or just one or two terms each year.

Here are some examples of work from last week. Some have been coming here for the last two years and some only recently. That week was about exploring the narrative behind what you choose to draw or paint. ie what's the story?....

The course is designed to extend your ability and structured to teach you the handling of different materials using various subject matter and ensure each student pushes their individual potential to the maximum.
All materials, coffee and homemade cake or biscuits and models and guest tutors included. The course is run by an experienced tutor in a delightful airy studio.

This Spring Term one week we will be visiting Pallant House combining a bit of Art History with drawing in the Gallery This is in addition to in the remaining weeks, working in different mediums on different subject matter always with very individual tuition and encouragement for each student.
As no two weeks are the same, new students are able to join at the beginning of a new term, space permitting or those already with us can continue their journey term after term as all aspects of technical skills are continually re-enforced after all the creative journey only has a beginning but no end.
